"They didn't just plan our wedding — they understood what it meant to us. Every detail reflected who we are, not a template."— Roisin & Ciarán, Luketown, June 2024
"Optimum turned a vague corporate retreat idea into a three-day experience our team still talks about."— Aisling Doherty, Operations Lead, Meridian Software
We do not start with a checklist. We start with beliefs. Before a single venue is scouted or a caterer contacted, these six principles shape every decision we make. If they resonate with you, we are likely the right fit.

These are starting frameworks, not rigid packages. Every engagement is shaped around your specific needs. Contact us to discuss what fits.
Most event planners present you with a menu. Pick a package, add extras, pay the bill. We find that approach backwards. An event is not a product — it is a living thing shaped by the people in the room, the story behind the occasion, and the small decisions that accumulate into something memorable.
Our process begins with a conversation that has no agenda. We listen. We ask questions that might seem unusual: What do you want people to feel when they leave? What is the one thing you are afraid might go wrong? What would you do if the budget were infinite — and what would you do if it were halved?
From those answers, a direction emerges. Not a template. A direction.
We then move into what we call the architecture phase: building the structural skeleton of the event. Venue, timeline, flow, transitions, contingencies. This is the invisible work referenced in our manifesto. It is also where most events succeed or fail.
No forms. No questionnaires. A genuine conversation about what this event means to you. We meet at your convenience — in person in Luketown, or by video anywhere in Ireland.
We deliver a written direction document: the event's intent, emotional goals, preliminary budget framework, and three venue concepts. You react, we refine.
Venue confirmed. Vendor shortlists built. Timeline drafted. Design direction crystallised. You see everything in a shared workspace — no surprises.
We manage every vendor, every delivery, every setup detail. A full rehearsal walk-through happens before the event. On the day, you are a guest at your own event.
Vendor settlements, thank-you coordination, photo and media collection, and a debrief if you want one. We handle the aftermath so you can hold onto the memory.
For a 2024 corporate gala in County Waterford, we reduced the original vendor list from nineteen to eleven — saving the client over €8,200 while improving the guest experience. Restraint, applied with purpose.
Tell us a little about what you are planning. No commitment, no sales pitch. We will respond within two working days with an honest assessment of whether we are the right fit.
